INCOME ASSISTANT PROGRAM SPECIALIST III – HOME ENERGY PROGRAMS. Job: IRC6789

Serves as a Lead Worker for the Office of Home Energy Programs. Duties include: determines eligibility for multiple Federal and State financial assistance programs; reviews, approves and denies eligibility determinations of subordinate workers; provides training, work direction and instruction on managing caseloads to subordinate staff; responds to inquiries from customers, deals with customer complaints and appeals; maintains a special needs caseload, provides outreach to the community, attends meetings and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Education--Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree. Experience—Two (2) years of experience as a journey level specialist in an eligibility determination program, or two (2) years of equivalent experience. Equivalency—An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

SENIOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST Job: IRC6801

Department of Liquor Control (DLC) seeks a highly skilled Systems Integrator and Data Conversion Developer to support the Departmental IT Program.

Minimum Qualifications: Education—Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience—Sr. IT Specialist - Five (5) years of experience in significant multi-system integration and business/systems analysis in a technical environment throughout the full software development life cycle. IT Specialist III - Three (3) years of experience in a technical project environment throughout the full software development life cycle. Equivalency—An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted

CORRECTIONAL SPECIALIST IIIFULL TIME Job: IRC6804

Application Deadline: Oct 12, 2011 Salary: Minimum $54,054.00 - Maximum $89,596.00

Position is assigned to the Pre-Trial Services Division, Alternative Community Service Program. Responsible for supervising average caseload of 70 defendants charged with crimes in Montgomery County and are waiting trail. Responsible to ensure all court ordered release conditions are being met while the defendant is in the community to include appropriate referrals to and follow up with treatment programs for issues surrounding mental health concerns, domestic violence, substance abuse, sex offenses and other deviant behavior.

Minimum Qualifications: Education—A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Experience—Three (3) years of experience in community based corrections or in other human services work emphasizing treatment/counseling, at least two of which must be equivalent to that of a Correctional Specialist II. Equivalency—Excess education may be substituted for required experience, but excess experience may no be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree, as the educational requirement is stipulated by the Maryland State Training Commission.

Individuals appointed to the position must be at least 21 years of age on the date of appointment and either be a citizen of the United States or a resident alien. Candidate must successfully complete the Marylan Correctional Training Academy Entry-Level Program and possess a Certification of successful completion within 12 months of hire. Must maintain and successfully complete.

PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION INTERN Job: IRC6810

Application Deadline: Oct 13, 2011 Salary: Minimum $34,457.00 - Maximum $61,498.00

This is a Part-time, Temporary position with No Benefits. Provides continuous data analysis of MC311 activities and trends customer complaints to the Director’s Office; learns to back-up the Senior Executive Administrative Aide requiring employee to understand strategic relationships with other departments; maintains filing system for Department Director to include creating notebooks, making labels and filing; provides phone coverage as needed, responding to inquiries and taking messages; performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Education—Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree. Experience—None. Equivalency—An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

CABLE TELEVISION PROGRAM MANAGER Job: IRC6821

Application Deadline: Oct 13, 2011 Salary: Minimum $51,598.00 - Maximum $85,463.00

Manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of Public Information's cable television programming section and serve as backup videographer, producer and video editor as needed to produce a wide array of interesting shows for the County government cable channel -- County Cable Montgomery (Channel 6 on Comcast and RCN, Channel 30 on Verizon).

Minimum Qualifications: Education—Bachelor’s Degree and considerable (3 years) experience in cable television production and editing processes. Equivalency—Equivalency applies. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO ENFORCEMENT SPECIALIST II Job: IRC6806

Application Deadline: Oct 14, 2011 Salary: Minimum $47,028.00 - Maximum $77,756.00

Enforce compliance with Federal, State and County laws, rules and regulations on alcoholic beverage and tobacco product sales. The successful candidate must possess considerable knowledge of an extensive body of alcohol licensing and alcohol and tobacco enforcement rules and regulations, as well as knowledge of the practices of beverage alcohol businesses and businesses that sell tobacco products as they relate to sales and service.

Minimum Qualifications: Education/Experience—Sixty college credits and two (2) years of experience in alcohol and/or tobacco code enforcement or closely related law enforcement work. One (1) year of which must have been in alcohol and tobacco related inspection and code enforcement work, or, Completion of High School and four (4) years of experience in alcohol and/or tobacco code enforcement or closely related law enforcement work; one (1) year of which must have been in alcohol and tobacco related inspection and code enforcement. Equivalency—An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

SECTION CHIEF – CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING Job: IRC6528

Directs the Engineering Construction Section of the Division of Transportation Engineering, which involves the management of complex facilities and construction of multi-million dollars operating and Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) through subordinate supervisors and professional Engineers and Construction Representatives.

Minimum Qualifications: Education—Graduation from an accredit college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree. Experience—Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in Construction Engineering. Equivalency—An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

ELECTION AIDE II (2012 Election Cycle) Job: IRC6827

Application Deadline: June 29, 2011 Salary: Minimum $29,371.00 - Maximum $46,567.00

This is a five-year (5) term position with possibility of extension. The term of appointment expires Dec. 31, 2016. Employment beyond that date is contingent upon renewal of the term.

Serves as the County Executive's representative on White Flint Sector Plan related matters working as a liaison between the community, businesses and high level County government officials in order to promote and facilitate the delivery of County services to the residents of White Flint; and to provide implementable recommendations for the solution of development or development-related problems.

Minimum Qualifications: Education—Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree. Experience—Seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience in organizational management or in community planning and administration, three (3) years of which were in a supervisory or executive capacity. Note: The term "executive" is further defined as a high echelon or high level position in an organization that is assigned technical research, management advisory services responsibilities, or policy-making duties and responsibilities that exerts considerable influence on organizational policy, plans, and operations through technical research, management advisory services, and/or policy-making duties and responsibilities (e.g., County positions at Grade 30 or above). Equivalency—An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

SAFETY AND TRAINING MANAGER II Job: IRC6158

Application Deadline: Oct 4, 2011 Salary: Minimum $56,631.00 - Maximum $93,944.00

Responsible for developing and managing a training program for all new bus operators (trainees) on the policies, procedures, laws, and responsibilities of their new positions. They are responsible for making the necessary adjustments and changes to the established training program for updated rules, regulations, equipment, technology, and policies that come along.

Minimum Qualifications: Education— Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree. Experience—Thorough (5 years) experience in an area directly related to developing and managing training programs related to transportation or related field. Equivalency—An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET SPECIALIST III Job: IRC6688
