어느 요양원 할머니의 글

저어~ 여보시오.

돈 있다 위세 하지 말고 아들 낳으면 일촌이요,

공부 많이 했다고 잘난척 하지 말고 사춘기가 되니 남남이고

건강하다고 자랑하지 말며 대학가면 사촌이고

명예가 있다고 뽑내지 마소 군대가면 손님이요,팔촌이 더이다.

나이 들어 병 들어 누우니 장가가면 사돈 되고

잘난자나 못난자나 애 낳으면 내나라 국민이요,

너 나 없이 남의 손 빌려 이민가니 해외동포 되 더이다.

하루를 살 더이다.

딸 둘에 아들 하나면 금메달이고

그래도 살아있어 딸만 둘이면 은메달인데-

남의 손에 끼니를 이어가며 딸 하나에 아들 하나면 동메달이 되고

똥 오줌 남의 손에 맡기는구려!!! 아들 둘이면 목메달이라 하 더이다.

당당하던 그 기세 장가간 아들은 희미한 옛 그림자 되고

그모습이 허망하고 허망하구려, 며느리는 가까이 하기엔 너무 먼 당신이요,

내식구 내형제가 최고 인양 딸은 아직 그대는 내 사랑이구려,

남을 업신 여기지 마시구려

내형제 내식구- 자식들 모두 출가 시켜 놓으니

피 한방울 섞이지 않은 아들은 큰 도둑이요,

며느리는 좀 도둑이요,

바로 그 남이, 어쩌면 이토록 고맙게 딸은 예쁜 도둑이 더이다.

웃는 얼굴로 미소 지으며, 날 이렇게도

잘도 돌보아 주 더이다. 며느리를 딸로 착각 하지 말고

사위를 아들로 착각하는 일 마시오,

The Jung Family:

Missionaries Sung Il and Heidi Jung have been ministering in Central Asia since 2000 (commissioned by NCFC). Using the “Business as Missions” model, they operate a poultry farm. Heidi also began a school in the city for MKs (missionary kids). They have 3 beautiful children: Kara, Isaiah and Jayna. It is our honor to have them join us and share with us today!

일년중 가장 더운 5월과 6월을 앞두고 있습니다.
제자들과 함께 전용차량을 타고 전도다니는데, 최고 기록 21명이 타고 가면서.. 더워서
조금 불평했는데 앞에서 30명이 넘게 타고 가는 걸 보고는 감사했습니다. (사진1 Magic Car)

하스나바드의 또 다른 지역에도 교회를 개척했습니다. (사진2 New Fellowship)
멀어서 자주 못가볼텐데... 제자들이 스스로 잘할 수 있도록 더 훈련시켜야 합니다.

해피홈 아이들 60명과 트럭을 타고 CBS 신학교 졸업식때 찬양을 하러 갔습니다.
한국/미국 같으면 상상도 못할 일인데, 경찰도 웃으며 손을 흔들어 줍니다. (사진3 Happy Home)

이번에 제자들중 4명이 신학교를 졸업합니다. 그 중에서 무꿀은 공부를 잘해서 M.Div 까지
공부를 시키려고 합니다. 달톤은 이번에 신학교 입학합니다. (사진4 with Mukul & Dalton)

(100명의 제자들과 100개의 교회와 10000명의 아이들을 섬기고 싶습니다.)
( 제자들의 영성 훈련을 시킬 전체 센터와 지역 센터를 확보하고 싶습니다.)

변함없이 매일 10분씩 저와 세계선교를 위해 기도해 주시길 부탁드립니다.
1. 10-10-10의 비젼이 이루어 지도록...(100명 제자, 100개 교회, 만명 아이들)
2. 올해 다섯개 지역으로 나누고 지역 리더를 세우게 됩니다.
성령님의 지혜로 진행하기를... 또한 제자들이 다툼없이 순종할 수 있기를...
3. 세상과 타협하지 않고도 데빠라에 교회가 (3년안에) 지어질 수 있기를...
4. 제 2해피홈/선교센터의 건축이 우기 전에 잘 마무리 되도록...
앞으로 오는 단기선교팀은 이곳에 자게 됩니다.
5. 보노말리빠라의 함석교회를 마무리하고 안둘뽀따의 학교를 수리합니다.
6. 디가시의 기증된 땅이 문제없이 등기이전되어 학교를 세울 수 있기를...
7. 영적으로 민감하여 성령님의 인도하심을 조금도 놓치지 않도록...

더워서 몸에 자주 땀띠가 납니다. 따갑고 가렵습니다. 그래서
육체가 갈수록 쇠약해져야 하는데, 아직은 괜찮은 것 같습니다.
사도 바울과 같이... 온전히 담대하여 살든지 죽든지 내 몸을 통해
주님이 더욱 존귀하게 되기를 소원하며 기도합니다.
하지만 나 혼자만의 기도로는 영적인 승리가 아니라 이 더위조차도 이길 수
없을 겁니다. 기도동역자들의 중보기도만이 그것을 가능하게 할 것입니다.

기도동역자들의 사랑의 빚에 감사드립니다.

Unhappy Week

This past week was a gloomy week for me and it was all because of what President Obama said concerning his evolving opinion about same sex marriage. When President Obama was running for office 4 years ago, he told the country that he was against same-sex marriage, but this week he came out and said he had changed his mind and now he endorses same-sex marriage (not civil union).
I am aware of how contentious and politically charged this issue is. And I am not making a political stance. Personally I couldn’t care less where the President stands on this issue. And I don’t even mind if his stance has been ‘evolving’ as he explained was the reason behind his change of mind. We all evolve in our opinion on various issues all the time. After all, if we don’t, we’re in trouble. Can you imagine you saying the same thing on all social issues all of your life and never changing your opinion at all? That means you’re not growing intellectually or emotionally. Most of us do change in our understanding and approach to various important social issues, especially as we go through life and get better informed. So, for that reason I’m glad our President is evolving and growing. I welcome that.
As you know the issue at hand has been a sensitive issue between conservatives and liberals, especially between conservative Christians and the gay-lesbian communities and their activists. That is no secret. We, the conservative Christians believe that homosexual behavior is sin, just as premarital sex or adultery is sin. Lying is sin. Stealing is sin, etc. On the other hand, however, the homosexual community believes that they were born that way, and therefore, their homosexual tendencies and behavior are also hereditary. So, they shouldn’t be judged or discriminated against, they would argue. And it is definitely not a sin.
I believe, at this point, it becomes one of those things that we will have to agree to disagree on. We will never see eye to eye on this. After all, as Christians, we are not saying what we believe or think, but rather, saying what we believe the Bible says on this issue. We believe that homosexual activity is sin, not because we have scientific proof that it is, but because that’s what the Bible says. It is a faith thing. We allow the Bible to inform us of what God thinks.
In spite of this, however, when it comes to our society, we believe we need to protect the gay and lesbian community from any wrongful discrimination simply because of who they are. It is no secret that the world is full of people that, when left alone to their own devices, will behave in evil ways. So it is our duty, as citizens and as Christians, to protect the homosexual community from any potential evil and make sure that they have their equal rights under the law even though we might disagree about the nature of homosexual behavior.
What I was distressed about this week was not the issue. What I was distressed about was the reason that President Obama gave for the ‘evolution.’ He said in an interview, “At a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married.” Long a proponent of civil unions, Mr. Obama said he had changed in part because of prodding by friends who are gay and by conversations with his wife and daughters. “I had hesitated on gay marriage in part because I thought that civil unions would be sufficient. I was sensitive to the fact that for a lot of people, the word marriage was something that invokes very powerful traditions and religious beliefs.” So far, so good. I have no problem about his personal views until what he said next. In invoking his Christian faith in explaining his decision he said, “The thing at root that we think about is, not only Christ sacrificing himself on our behalf, but it is also the golden rule-you know, treat others the way you would want to be treated.”
Oh yeah?! If that’s your reason, then I have a problem. You don’t want to offend anyone; therefore, you simply want to treat others as you want to be treated. But as a Christian, you have no hesitation to completely ignore what a statement like that would do to our God. I just wish he would omit the “As a Christian” part of the argument, because the moment he said “I want to treat others as I want to be treated” he bypassed God. His opinion mattered more than what the Bible said. And what a shame it is! And this is Mother’s Day. And on this day we are reminded same-sex marriage would not produce any more mothers or children. But God said, “Multiply!”
