Come celebrate Montgomery County's wonderful cultural diversity at the World of Montgomery Festival on Sunday, October 16th from noon to 5 p.m., at the Wheaton Triangle, 2424 Reedie Drive (Grandview Avenue & Reedie Drive, 1 block from the Wheaton Metro station).

The World of Montgomery Festival celebrates, explores, and shares the diverse cultural heritages that play an active role in the lives of Montgomery County residents and communities. The Festival will feature music and dance performances by County-based artists, food and craft vendors and a hands-on cultural education area, and a health fair.  Local non-profit organizations and County agencies will also be represented. 

The festival will also serve as the kick-off event for Montgomery County Community Service Week with volunteer opportunities available on event day and throughout the week.

Community Service Week will culminate with a Silver Anniversary Celebration in downtown Silver Spring. Join us as we recognize volunteers who have completed our Pledge 25 Challenge and all the great service that was accomplished during Community Service Week and throughout the year. There will be music, giveaways, fun and more! Saturday, October 22nd from 5 to 7 p.m. at Veterans Plaza in Downtown Silver Spring.  For more information about this and other events that week, go to montgomeryserves.org/community-service-week-2011.
