(5) Living a Life of Jesus
(Colossians 3:1-17)
Rev. Neil Kim

 I. Seek Jesus (v.2)
Do you want to live a Christ-centered life?   Then you must seek Him.

 II. Think Jesus (v.2)
To live a Christ-centered life, Jesus must be in your thoughts all day long, no matter what you are doing. (Heb 3:1 & 2 Cor 10:5)
(v.17): Wherever you go, whatever you do, think about Jesus.

 III. Live Jesus (vv.5-10)
You can seek to know about Jesus, but if you don’t live Christ-like lives, it is useless. (James 2:26)
Why must we live Jesus life?  Because there is a consequence just like everything in life. (Luke 6:46-49)
And when you live Jesus, it brings such a joy to our God.

IV. How do we do it?
You make decision because it’s your choice. (v.9)
Pray (v.15)
Read and study God’s Words (v.16)
Worship God (v.16)
Do it! (v.17)

 V. Applications:
What are you doing to seek the things of Jesus?   What are you doing to "set your heart on things above?"  Share.
Verse 8 lists the ungodly habits that you are to put off.  Identify at least two that you’re struggling with the most, and share and pray.
Do you want a standard to live a Christian life?  Do you want a practical principle rather that a lot of rules?  - Read verse 17 and discuss.
