“The Canaanite Woman” We find, from Matthew 15:21-28, a Mom who would do anything and everything for her child’s healing and would not take “No” for an answer. From this passage, we learn about the precious characteristics of a Mother’s heart. I. Mother’s Love. (v.22) It was her intense love for her daughter that sought out Jesus. II. Mother’s persistency. (v.23-27) She neither refused to give up nor was intimidated. (v.23) III. Mother’s sacrifice. (v.27) She was willing to be humiliated for her daughter’s healing. IV. Mother’s faith. (v.28) She overcame obstacles of who she was. V. Applications: Have you hugged your Mom today? If not, give her a big hug and tell her that you love her very much. |
