“The Mark of a Servant”
(Philippians 2:12-18)
Pastor Keeyoung Kim
I. Knowing Jesus leads to imitating Jesus (vv. 1-11)
II. A servant is committed to accomplishing God’s work (vv. 12-13)
III. A servant constantly examines his heart (vv. 14-16)
IV. A servant rejoices regardless of the outcome of his work (vv. 17-18)
V. A servant draws closer to the one who calls him to serve
Vi. Application
How are you imitating Christ in regards to His humility and servanthood?
Share your experience with serving the church or observing someone serving. Has this experience drawn you closer to God? Why or why not?
Paul makes clear connections with obedience in serving with rejoicing. In what ways can obedience in serving lead to rejoicing? What must you do so that serving leads to rejoicing?
God desires all of us to be part of the work He is accomplishing in the world. How can you be a part of God’s work in your family? In your local church? In the world?
