“Terrified but giving Glory to God”

Revelation 9-11

 

I. 7 Angels sounding their trumpets and unleashing the death, torment and agony
of 7 years of tribulation
1. 5th Angel unleashes the demonic locusts from the Abyss to torment (9:1-11)
2. 6th Angel unleashes 200 million mounted riders to kill a third of mankind
a. Those who survived did not repent of their idolatry, murders, sexual immorality or their thefts v.20-21
II. Pre-Trib Rapture, yes please!!!
1. No one would choose to be in and around all of that
2. Thank you Seal of God Rev 7:3 (but consider Rev 9:4)
3. Faith in Christ put to a terrifying test (Rev 11:13)
III. Choose Love of Jesus
1. Strive for a love relationship with the Lord now don’t wait!
2. What will you be doing at that Hour of Judgment (Rev 11:18)
3. But our confidence before God will witness to the world
1 Peter 2:12 “Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they
accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God
on the day he visits us.”
IV. Discussion Questions:
1. Have you ever been terrified? Not just by a scary movie but truly
terrified? Can you imagine your Christian faith in the context of terrifying
end times of Tribulation?
2. What motivates you more to seek Jesus, the threat of God’s wrath or the
promise of His love that sustains you during an end time of demonic locusts?
