What About the Good People?
(Acts 10:1-11:18)
Rev. Eugene Cha
I. The character of Cornelius (10:1-2)
He was a devout man and God fearing man
He was a generous man and a man of prayer
He was a good man but his good was not good enough to save himself
II. Peter’s vision (10:9-23)
When God uses us he breaks down our perspective
When God uses us he calls us out of our comfort zone
This is the turning point of the church. What would have happened if Peter didn’t obey?
III. The conversion of Cornelius (10:34-48)
The power of the gospel is what brings people to Christ
We have the responsibility to share the good news like Peter did
The Holy Spirit is available to everyone
The church came to the same conclusion that Peter did (11:15-18)
IV. Application
What are you doing to reach out to the “good” people?
Was there a time when God called you out of your comfort zone to do His work?
Are there people in your life that need to hear about the gospel?
What can we do to share the gospel with those people?
