Pass It On!

“Pass It On!”

2 Timothy 2:1-2

I. The Faith passed on through Generations
1. Grandmother Lois  Mother Eunice  Timothy (2 Tim 1:5)
2. Abraham  Isaac  Jacob (Genesis)
3. My Grandmother  My Parents  Me  _______

II. The Calling as a Messenger of the Gospel
1. Appointed as a Herald, Teacher and a teacher (1 Tim, 1:12; 2 Tim 1:11)
2. Teach & Entrust who can pass on to others (2 Tim 2:2)
3. Shown mercy to use me as a prime example for others to believe in Him
(1 Tim 1:16)

III. The Glory of participating God’s Kingdom work
1. The first to receive a share of the crops (2 Tim 2:6) *hardworking farmer: a
soldier who is not tied up in affairs of civilians, An athlete competes within the
boundary of rules… it takes diligence, hard work, commitment.. but there is a
victor’s crown.
2. Those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the star forever
(Dan 12:3)
3. Such a privilege to be “useful” for our Master! (2 Tim 2:21)

IV. Application
1. Reaching the World at Our Doorstep
2. Isaiah 43:6-7, 21; Acts 17:26-27
3. Pass it on!
