True Worshipers: Leading Others to Jesus
(John 4:26-42)
Pastor Keeyoung Kim
I. The invitation to worship begins when you realize through Jesus, you are known and loved fully… at the same time (vv. 17-25)
II. Worship is your response when you acknowledge Jesus’ worth (v. 26)
III. Worship shifts our lives and results in a declaration of the goodness of Jesus (testimony) (vv. 28-30)
IV. Worship transforms us to become more like Jesus (vv. 31-34)
V. Worship leads to evangelism - “Open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” (vv. 35-38)
VI. The Samaritan woman, an unlikely worshiper and evangelist (vv. 39-42)
The Samaritans believe because of her testimony
The Samaritan woman simply pointed them to Jesus
“We have heard… and we know”
VII. Application
Take a moment to adore God.
What is evangelism? Why do you think there’s so much fear regarding evangelism?
God is asking us to “open our eyes and look at the fields” that is ripe for harvesting for eternal life. Where you are right now is your “field” (family unit, group of friends, neighborhood, workplace, etc). Who is God placing on your heart to pray for and point them to Jesus? Pray for your field and these individuals.
Commit to praying for them and ask the Lord for wisdom in how to engage them.
Be practical and intentional!
