“You’ve Had it All”
Ezekiel 25-28
I. A Prophecy Against Tyre (26:1-21)
II. A Lament for Tyre (27:1-36)
III. A Prophecy Against the King of Tyre (28:1-10)
Your heart is too proud (vv. 2, 5)
You think you are wise (vv. 2, 4)
Your wealth has deceived you (v. 4)
Your skill has made you arrogant (v. 5)
So, I am going to punish you (vv. 6-10)
IV. A Lament for the King of Tyre (28:11-19)
You were perfect (v. 12)
Your surroundings were perfect (v. 13)
Your job was perfect (v. 14)
But you ended up in destruction (vv. 15-19)
It is all because of your “pride”
V. Application
Pride will always cause us to fall from God’s grace. Discuss why you think pride is dangerous in our walk with God.
I find many parallel characteristics between our current situation and the one the people of Tyre found themselves in before Tyre was destroyed by God. Can you name some of the similarities?
What kind of suggestions can you make to keep us from becoming proud and therefore inviting God’s judgment?
