“Thankfulness, the Life of Victory”
Judges 4:1-24, 5:1-31

 I. Sinners in Need of a Savior (Judges 4:1-3)
Did evil in the eyes of the Lord. (4:1)
Oppressed by the enemy. (4:2)
Cried to the Lord for help. (4:3)

II. God Provides the Victory (Judges 4:4-22)
Through a wise leader who hears God. (4:4-5)
Through joining forces. (4:6-10, 12-13)
Through cleverness and decisiveness. (4:14-15)
Through boldness of an unlikely person. (4:11, 4:16-22)

 III. Thankfulness
Greater the risk, greater the thankfulness.
Greater the suffering, greater the thankfulness.
Greater the victory, greater the thankfulness.

 IV. Life of Thankfulness
Knowing where our strength comes from songs of praise breaks forth. (Judges 5:1-31)
Courage to continue the fight to victory. (4:23-24)
More strength and peace for tomorrow. (Judges 5:31)
In the midst of victory live in thanksgiving and guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:6-7)

 V. Application
What sufferings or challenges have you been experiencing, lately?
What are you the most afraid of?  How have you been dealing with your fears? What is the Lord telling you the battles?
What gets in the way of sharing this battle with others when they can fight the battle with you?
Have you declared war on the enemy? Who is the Lord telling you about how to fight?
In the midst of trials let’s count our blessings.  Share about your victories. Share with others what you are thankful for.
