Bible Psalm 36

“Amazing Grace—(3) Amazing Worship!”
Psalm 36

 I. David, A Man of Worship (Introduction to the Psalm)
He wrote a majority of psalms
He was committed to worshipping God
He knew and experienced the power of worship routinely

II. Worship in Righteousness (vv. 1-6)
You cannot worship God unless you understand the righteousness of God.
The proper understanding of God’ righteousness should lead to repentance and humility

 III. What Do We Get?
Our focus is never what we get out of worship, but nevertheless there are benefits to worship that come as a result.
It reminds us of God’s priceless love (v. 7)
We will find spiritual nourishment (v. 8)
We will find the source (fountain) of life (v. 9)
We can walk in His light (v. 9)
We get to know Him better (v. 10)

 IV. Application
Worship, both personal and corporate, is the essence of spiritual victory. Share how you worship God on a regular basis.
Are you often reminded of God’s amazing love as you worship Him? What does that do to you in your walk with Him?
Describe your attitude toward worship and share what you can do to improve this year.
