Committed God for Committed Sinful Sinners

 I. Satan is crafty (v. 1)
Satan is known as the father of lies, the accuser, and the tempter.
Satan’s goal is to make us desire independence from God rather than dependence on God.

II. Eve believes the lies of Satan (vv. 2-3)
It is not only sinful to tell lies but to believe the lies of the enemy.
It is not enough to believe IN God but to BELIEVE God.

 III. Sin is a disease (v. 4)
Sin causes spiritual blindness.
Spiritual blindness is the inability to see God’s truth.

IV. How Satan traps us into sin.
Entices us to enter his territory.
if you walk into the enemy’s territory, you are liable to be taken hostage.
when you walk into his territory, you may lose the hedge of protection.
Immorality at the core is discontent.
Satan wants to steal your heart.
Satan uses seducing spirit.
Pride: Me-centered instead of God centered.
Make certain sins secret sins.

 V. How to Overcome sin.
Don’t go to the enemy’s territory.
Prepare in advance or make decisions ahead of time.
Use the Word of God effectively.
