(23) Looking Beneath the Surface (John 7:14-24)

 I. An Own man : Like Jews
One who hears but does not understand (v. 15)
If one is different from them, then one is wrong.
One who seeks his own glory (v. 18)
One who can’t keep the law (v. 19)
One who judges by mere appearance (vv. 21-24)

 II. A Man of Truth – Like Jesus, One who chooses to do God’s will
One who knows the teaching came from God.(v. 17)
One who seeks God’s Glory rather than one’s own (v. 18).
One who has nothing false in him (v. 18)
One who judges with justice (vv. 21-24)
