 I. Continue to Live in Him ( 2:6-7)
Rooted and built up in Him
Strengthened in the Faith as you were taught
Overflowing with Thankfulness

II. Watch out!
Hollow and deceptive philosophy:  Carpe Diem (1 Cor 15:32-34)
Human tradition & basic principles of this world
Do not let anyone disqualify you for the prize (v. 18)
Lost connection with the HEAD (v. 19)
Destined to Perish (v. 22)
Mere appearance, has no value (v. 23)
Ignore God’s word with human traditions (Mark 7:8)
The worst enemy: ME (v. 20)

III. The Truth: In Christ
Given Fullness of Christ (vv. 9-10) 
Circumcised (vv. 11, 20)
God made us alive (v. 13)

 IV. How do we continue to live in Him? (Ch. 3)
Set your heart and mind things above not on earthly things (vv. 1-2)
Put on virtues of love (vv. 12-14)
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly (v. 16)
Whatever you do, do it for the name of the Lord (vv. 17-25)
Reward of inheritance (v. 24)
Wrath of God is coming, repaid for his wrong (vv. 8, 25) 

V. Application
Share why we tend to heed to men’s wisdom rather than God’s word.
What does it mean to be clothed with godly virtues, most importantly the virtue of love? What will that look like in your relationships (family, co-workers, friends, oikos members, etc.)
