 Dearest Brothers and Sisters,

Like Paul, we thank our God upon every remembrance of you. (Philippians 1:3) Words are not enough to express our thanks for your prayers and encouraging e-mails. You are truly a vital part of our ministry, whether you support us financially, through prayer or simply by expressing your care for us.

In addition to the work that we do with former Trokosi slaves, we are asked to take over Every Child Ministries (ECM) School Ministry in the Volta Region of Ghana this fall. The School Ministry consists of Ghanaian volunteer teachers who visit public schools to teach a class called “Character Traits from the Bible.” We have implemented monthly training for the teachers, showing them ways to involve the children in the lessons. The school ministry is one of the venues through which ECM is able to establish a relationship with local churches and schools.

Recently we were blessed with a visit from Angela Jo who arrived in Ghana in September as a volunteer with Global Mamas, a fair trade development NGO. Pastor Moses Kim, English Congregation pastor of Philippi Church connected Angela to us when he found out she was coming to Ghana. Angela stayed with us for one week this month and accompanied us during our field ministry. It has been a joy to have a fellow Christian from the U.S. minister with us and reminisce with us about our longing for home.

Earlier this week, we visited the former Trokosi women in a remote village near the capital of the Volta Region (Ho). During our visit, we shared the gospel with a woman named Adzo Mattiasi (see photo on next page). And by God’s grace, she accepted Christ. Praise the LORD!!

Praise report and Prayer Requests

1.      Praise the Lord for bringing Adzo Mattiasi to Christ

2.      Pray for the Lord to bring healing for Denese’s back

3.      Pray for more spiritual discernment

4.      Pray for our children: Jeremiah, Daniel, David and Samuel

5.      Pray for the spirit to persevere in the face of adversity
