We believe that the church is called to accomplish the “Great Commission” (Matt 28:19-20) that we received from Jesus Christ. Our youth group is committed in sending students to local and worldwide missions every summer. Every year, many students gladly sacrifice their time and money to travel all over the world to share the “Good News” of Jesus Christ by hosting summer VBS, serving the elderly, street evangelism, medical assistance, and many other ways.  Click here for more details about our Missions.

OUTREACH

Timothy students love to go out to help the poor, the elderly, and those who are less privileged than they are. Here are some great examples of the ministries available in Timothy Youth Ministries.

HOMELESS MINISTRY

Once every other month, a group of Timothy students go to Washing D.C. to help the homeless people. Washington D.C. has second highest homeless population outside Los Angeles’ famous skid row area. The outreach takes place on Saturdays(varies month to month). The participants usually attend the early Morning Prayer on Saturday at 7am in the Covenant Chapel. At 8am, we gather in the Lobby area to pray and get ready for departure. The leader drives the Church van to DC which takes about 30 min from our Church. If you ever want to join us, please contact the current leader.

FAMINE 24

It is actually called Famine 30 and it is organized by World Vision to help poor children around the world. The idea is to fast (go without food) for 30 hours and remember many children who are dying of hunger even today.  However, we only do it for 24 hours thus, it is called Famine 24.
