He was aware of what God was doing (3:6-13)
He was faithful (3:18)
He was wise (3:14-15)
He was responsible and dependable (3:18)
He didn’t mind taking risks (4:7-12)
He didn’t mind taking loss
He was persuasive (4:1-6)
He was reasonable and logical (3:10-13; 4:1-6)
He didn’t mind being a helper (a second fiddle)

 IV. A Good Father
He provided safety
He provided physical and emotional, and spiritual needs for the family
He practiced what he believed
He served in the background
He was recognized by people around him
