When God is at the Center of your Thankfulness
(Acts 4:32-5:11)
Rev. Eugene Cha

 I. When God is at the center of your thankfulness (vv. 4:32-37)
You become one in heart and mind (v. 32)
What brings us together is important
Only God has the power to unite
You share everything they have (v. 32)
You realize that everything you have is from God
Material things don’t hold value any more
You testify about Jesus (v. 33)
God gives us the ability to testify about Jesus
God gives us much grace
You distribute to anyone who is in need (v. 34)
You give up what you have for the needs of others
You are able to see the needs of others

II. When God is not at the center of your thankfulness (vv. 5:1-11)
You go through the motions (v. 1)
You do things because others do it
Your heart is not in it
You are dishonest and more concerned with yourself (v. 2)
You don’t trust God’s provision
You don’t give God your all
You are more concerned about looking good for people rather than God
(vv. 4, 4:36-37)
You want to be recognized
You are willing to lie to God

 III. Application
What is at the center of your thankfulness?
Do we have a heart for those who are in need?
What are the things that we are thankful for?
How can we pass on that gratitude to others?
