Restoration of Hope
(Romans 5:1-5)

I. God gave us hope through Jesus by His grace. (vv. 1-2)
II. Hope gives us strength to overcome suffering. (v. 3)
Suffering teaches us to depend on Him.
Suffering brings people together.
Suffering assures us that we belong to Jesus.
Suffering reminds us that this world is not our home.
Suffering produces hope within us.
Suffering brings unbelievers to Jesus.
III. Hope gives us new perspective for life. (v. 4)
Our character doesn’t change because we have a wrong perspective for life.
Your perspective about life will shape your character.
IV. Hope gives us true worth of our life. (v. 5)
Hope reveals the truth that God loves you.
Message of the cross is that God loves you in spite of the hopeless condition that you may be in.
V. Applications
Have you ever been in a situation where you’ve given up hope and thought all was lost? How did you handle it?
