(1) Biblical Finance: God’s Providence
(1 Chronicles 29:11-12)
Rev. Neil Kim

 I. What does the Bible say about wealth?
The Bible does not promise wealth.
Wealth is not a sign of God's favor.
Wealth is a gift from God to be used in His work. (Matthew 25:14-30)
Wealth is dangerous (1 Timothy 6:9-11)

 II. God’s portion
God owns all things. (Psalm 24:1)
God controls our possessions. (1 Chronicle 29:12)
God is the provider. (Matthew 6:33)

III. Our portion
We are stewards and don’t own anything.
Our responsibility is being faithful. (Matthew 25:14-30)
We need to be faithful with what we are given.
We need to be faithful in all areas.

IV. Rewards of handling your possessions faithfully
He will increase our work and responsibilities.
Our relationship with Jesus deepens.
There is also a consequence if we are not faithful in the handling of our possessions. (Luke 16:1-2)

V. Application
Why is it important to understand that God uses financial hardship for training His people?
Share a difficult circumstance you have experienced, and how you responded, and how God used it for your life.
