Experiencing God (1): Is it God’s Will or Your Will?
(John 15:5)
Rev. Neil Kim

As you begin to see God’s vision come into focus for your life, you will need to ask the right questions.  Asking wrong questions can lead you to have the wrong experience instead of a good experience.

 I. It begins with a relationship with Jesus
Have you already trusted Jesus as your Savior and accepted Him as the Lord of your life?
Do you know God speaks to you?
God already mapped out your life in detail in Jesus.

II. When people seek to know and do God’s will, many ask, “What is God’s will for my life?”
What is God’s will?
Do you want to learn how to know and do God’s will?
Do you want to know what God wants to accomplish in your life?

III. Many believers don’t recognize God’s involvement in their lives on a daily basis.
We don’t think God is always at work around us.  He is involved in every activity we’re doing.
We don’t have the right attitude.
We are doing people.

 IV. Realities of experiencing God.
God calls his people to be involved in His work.
God reveals Himself and his purpose for our lives.
God prepares the resources and the way for us.
We must make major life adjustments to God’s work.
We must obey in order to know God.
God accomplishes His work through us.

 V. God wants to use ordinary people to accomplish His purposes.

 VI. Application
When you seek God’s will for your life, how do you go about doing it?  Do you ask for what, why, when, where, and the outcome in detail before you commit to Him?  Or do you ask Him to lead you one step at a time?
Could God do extraordinary things through your life for His kingdom?  If not, why not?
