Resurrected Life

Resurrected Life
(Romans 12:1-2, 9-21)

The bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  Therefore those who believe in the name of Jesus live because Jesus lives!  What wonderful news!  So Easter is the highest point, the climax of Jesus’ ministry…  Is it really so?

 I. God wants us to live a resurrected life.
We must offer our lives to God in response to the resurrected life which we received through Jesus (v. 1)
In order to live resurrected lives, we must be transformed by the renewing of our mind (v. 2)

 II. Then, what are the marks of the resurrected life?
Loving one another must be a main focus of your life (v. 10)
Share with people who are in need (v. 13)
Be happy with those who are happy; weep with those who weep (v. 14)
Live at peace with everyone - ministry of reconciliation (v. 18)
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse (v. 14)
Do not repay anyone evil for evil (v. 17)
Do not take revenge (v. 19)
Overcome evil with good (vv. 20-21)

 III. Application
Have you ever been wronged by someone?  How did you respond: retaliation or forgiveness?
When you examine your life, what areas of your life are not conforming to the resurrected life of Jesus?  Why do you think that is the case?
