(41) Look How the Whole World Has Gone After Him
(John 12:9-19)

 I. Great number of people had come to Jerusalem to see Jesus and Lazarus (v. 9)

 II. Chief priests plan to kill Lazarus (vv. 10-11):
The chief priests wanted to kill him because Jews were putting their faith in Jesus after seeing Lazarus.

 III. Jesus is greeted by the great crowd (vv. 12-13):
They thought Jesus was the one who would deliver them from Roman’s rule. 
But Jesus came up to die for the sins of the world.

 IV. Humble Jesus (vv. 14-15):
Jesus, who is King of kings, chose to demonstrate his humility by riding on a donkey.

 V. It takes time to fully understand what God is doing. (v. 16)
The disciples didn’t understand the nature of His Kingdom, but later on they would discover the will of God.

 VI. God’s Kingdom will continue to move forward (vv. 17-19)
The Gospel can only continue to spread when there is incontestable evidence or proof of the truth of Christ’s life in us.
