(11) Evangelism: The Way Jesus Did It
(John 4:15-35)

 I. The Way Jesus Did It
Be intentional (v. 4)
Wait for the right moment, but be proactive (vv. 5-6)
Be natural and start a conversation (v. 7)
Overcome prejudice or stereotyping (v. 9)
Avoid arguments (vv. 9, 11)
Compel curiosity (v. 14)
Wait for their initial response (v. 15)
Use your common sense as well as your spiritual gifts (vv. 16-18)
Explain the Gospel. Again, avoid arguments (vv. 19-20)
Be firm (v. 21)
Reassure and reaffirm  what they say (vv. 18, 21-24, 25-26)
Trust the Holy Spirit to close the deal.

 II. Important Lessons We Must Learn
People don’t even know that they are thirsty, because no one has bothered to tell them.
We have no clue, because we are focused on less important or more urgent things in life (vv. 27-35)
We need to get a proper (or heavenly) perspective to see what God is doing around us (v. 35)
We have to know that our lives are more than what we eat, drink, and wear (vv. 31-34)
Therefore, seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness (Mt. 6-25-33)
