“Radical Command, Extreme Obedience —
(5) Radical Lifestyle” (Acts 4:32-5:11)
Dr. W. Jamie Kim

 I. Radical Decision Demands Radical Action
They were one in heart and mind
They shared everything they had and there were no needy persons among them
They sold their possessions

 II. No Imitations, Please
The temptation to imitate often brings disasters
God doesn’t care about the amount but the heart
Immediate response from God may not ensue, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t matter

 III. Conclusions
Is this an aberration or a rule? Does God expect us to sell our possessions in order to follow Him? Before you answer that question, spend some time thinking about it and its implications. It is true that the topic of money and wealth is one of the most talked about subject in the Bible as well as Jesus’ teaching. Either we learn to master over money or money will master over us.
Greed is one of the insidious vices we have a difficult time overcoming. The wealth itself often times is very neutral. It’s neither good, nor bad. But the love of money is detrimental to us. What does the Bible teach us about money?
What is the proper way to use money as a Christian? What does the concept of “stewardship” teach us?
