“Radical Command, Extreme Obedience — (2) Radical Miracle” (Acts 3:1-10)
Dr. W. Jamie Kim
I. We Can Sure Use Some Miracles in Our Lives
II. The Nature of the Miracle
Make it a natural part of your everyday life (v.1)
Don’t settle for the mundane (v.2)
Don’t always accept the prevailing paradigm or conventional wisdom (vv.3-5)
Meet the right person
Have faith
III. What Is a Miracle?
The fact that a man crippled from birth was healed?
The fact that Peter had faith to heal him?
The fact that the man was able to walk, jump, and praise God?
Or the fact that others had problems accepting it?
IV. Application
What is your latest miracle, either something you experienced yourself or participated in bringing about?
Our western way of thinking has, by and large, eliminated the possibility of ‘miracles.’ Discuss what effect it has on you.
When you go overseas, especially to under-developed countries, you witness a greater degree of miracles. Why do you think this is the case?
