III. Application
 1. The phrase “in the beginning” tells us that there was a beginning at a certain time in human history. What does that tell you about yourself?
 2. The Book of Hebrews tells us that “by faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command” (Heb. 11:3). This means that ultimately we cannot prove that God created the world apart from our faith in Jesus Christ.
 3. Every day was finished by stating, “It was good.” What does this tell us about the world we live in and us? How should we treat the world and the people in it?
