Matthew 28:18-20
I. Make Disciples
Implies process (make)
It takes time
It requires a discipler and a disciplee
II. It is a Commandment
It requires active and proactive action
It requires a decisive action (baptism)
It requires teaching
It has to result in obedience (mark of a disciple). Then and only then you are qualified to make your own disciples.
III. Practical Implications
Finish discipleship training
Put into practice what you have learned until you master it.
Score! Serve.
IV. Conclusion
Make a decision
Follow through
Be persistent
Do it together
V. Application
In any sport, it doesn’t matter how well you play unless you score. It’s similar in our battle as Christians. Unless you learn to snatch souls from the jaws of Satan, you really don’t matter in the Kingdom of God. You can be an attractive and exciting player, or you can be a well trained player, however, if you don’t score you are no different than any other average player. What do you think this means to you personally?
How can we become Christians “Satan hates?”
God is giving us individually and collectively as a church an opportunity to become a MBP (Make Big People). How do you plan to join in?
