“The Difference that the Gospel Made”
Galatians

I. There Is No Other Gospel (1:6-10)
1. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from
yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For
we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which
God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:8-10)

II. We Are Justified by Faith (2:15-21)

III. The Purpose of the Law (3:21-29)
1. To know what sin is
2. To desire God’s grace
3. To come to the cross

IV. What Happens When You Come to the Cross?
1. He sets us free (5:1)
2. We receive an ability to live by the Spirit (5:16)
3. We are empowered to love our neighbors (5:25-6:10)

V. Final Exhortation (6:11-18)
1. Boast in the cross (6:14)
2. Die (2:20; 6:14)
3. Be a new creation (6:15)
4. Be a person of grace (1 Cor. 15:9-11)

VI. Application
1. It is important that we examine our walk with God, from time to time with other believers. Can you share how you feel about the personal status of your salvation by faith through grace? Can you as a group encourage one another for the wonderful gift of salvation that we have received from God?
2. We have concluded our study of Galatians this week, but our effort to put into practice what we have learned should continue for the rest of our lives. What are the few important principles you’ve learned?
3. People sometimes say that rarely we hear the Gospel in modern contemporary churches. Do you agree with that? What do they mean by that? What are the differences between a person (or a church) that has experienced the Gospel and a person (or a church) that has not? Do you believe we teach and practice "justification by faith” in all implications?
