 “Boast in the Cross”
Galatians 6:12-14

 

 I. Law and Grace (Dramatically Opposed)
Different ways of life, not just doctrinal differences
Bondage or freedom (5:1-12)
The flesh or the Spirit (5:13-26)
Living for self or living for others (6:1-10)
Living for the praise of men or the glory of God (6:11-18)

 

 II. The Problem of the Law
We want to promote ourselves instead of God
Motivated by their religious pride
Motivated by their cowardice
Motivated by their hypocrisy

 

III. The Benefits  of Grace
It’s free
We cannot boast
We will boast about the cross!

What have you learned from our 20th anniversary service and the Mission Conference?
What do you have to do in order to live a life that constantly exalts the cross?
We often live a double life because of our religious pride, or self-boasting, or cowardice. Which one of these is your major weakness?
