“God Walks with Ordinary People”

Genesis 24-28; 1 Corinthians 1:26-28
Isaac was a very ordinary person. Yet God was with him and walked with him
and used him for His purpose.
and used him for His purpose.
I. Isaac was a God’s promise
1. Even though he lived an ordinary life, but he was not a mistake. Isaac
was brought into the world by God and with God’s specific vision and
purpose. (Genesis 21:1-3)
2. If Jesus is your Lord and personal Savior, then you are His promise.
II. God was with Isaac and walked with him through the battles of his life
1. Isaac experienced many up and downs in life, external and internal
battles. Yet, God was with Isaac and walked with him every step
of the way!
2. So be encouraged. Whatever battles you may be facing, God is
walking with you.
III. Then, how was Isaac able to overcome these bales of life that came
with doubts and fear?
1. Prayer and worship: Isaac sought after God. (Genesis 26:23-25)
2. Isaac trusted God and obeyed. (Genesis 26:1-6)
IV. Why all these battles in life?
1. Because God wants to prepare you through those bales of life so
that you may become a channel of God blessing to others.
2. Isaac’s prayer. (Genesis 28:1-5)
V. What are the lessons you can learn from Isaac’s life?
1. It’s okay to live an ordinary life. It’s okay to make mistakes and fail.
It’s okay to have issues in life. What God is looking for from you is
your attitude of faithfulness.
2. And when you do that, God will always reveal himself to you.
That’s the moment of encountering God and to be in His presence.
