Luke 5:12-16

 

 I. We are unclean (v. 12)
An understanding of what leprosy is
A recognition of who Jesus is
A realization of what Jesus can do

 

 II. Jesus heals (vv. 13-14)
His initiation
His attitude
His power
His timing and purpose

 

 III. We are transformed (vv. 13, 15)
We are cleaned
We can’t help but talk about Jesus Christ
We live with an eternal purpose

 

 IV. Application
Reflect on the condition you were in before you came to know Jesus. Can you relate to the leprous man? How? Do you see others around you who are like the leprous man? How do you treat them?
How have you experienced the compassion and power of Jesus in your life? How can you exhibit that same compassion and power to others?
What are you investing your life in now? What kind of eternal impact are you making? As an Oikos group, pray together asking God to stretch your vision outward and to use your group to fulfill His eternal purpose.
