Bible Acts 5:12-42

Signs You are Standing Up For the Truth of the Gospel
Rev. Sara Pyon
(Acts 5:12-42)

 I. You influence the people in your life (vv. 12-16)
You bring healing and restoration
You are highly regarded
You bring people to Christ

II. You incite jealousy, anger, and fear from the opposition (vv. 17, 33)
You suffer the consequences (vv. 18, 40)
You are constantly challenged to take the easy way out (vv. 27-28)

 III. You experience God’s deliverance & intervention (vv.18-19, 33-40)
You witness God is still in control
You rejoice in the midst of suffering (vv. 41, 2 Corin 4:7-8, 16-18)
You are further emboldened to preach the Gospel (vv. 20, 29, 32, 42)

 IV. Reflection
Discuss how you are influencing people in your life.  Name a specific person or a situation to which you brought healing and/or restoration.
Under which circumstances are you most tempted to take the easy way out in living out your faith?  Devise and share a plan to help you stand up for the truth even when it is difficult.
Share a time in which you experienced God’s divine intervention. How has that experience affected your walk with God?
