Gideon: Rise Up and Believe!
(Judges 6:1-24)
Rev. Neil Kim

 I. We’re mighty warriors in God’s eyes. (v. 12)
No matter what condition you find yourself in today, God wants to use you.
God will choose to use you based not on what you are now, but on what He expects for you to become.

II. We’re mighty worriers from our eyes (vv. 13-15)
When you look at what you have and your situation, you’ll be filled with fear and doubts.

III. We need God’s presence to do His work (v. 16)
God is the one who is doing the work.  God is the source of our strength and power. (Psalm 68:35)
God is the one who gives wisdom and insight to do his work. (Psalm 73:16-17)

IV. God wants us to start with what we have first. (v. 14)

 V. Our hearts need to be touched by the Spirit. (vv. 17-24)

 VI. Application
What is it God wants you to do?  Do you find it impossible to believe?  How do you feel after learning what God was doing with Gideon?
God can do great things in your life if you shift your focus away from your weakness. Share your weaknesses and pray for God’s guidance.
